This year, my mind is firmly made up and I am absolutely sticking to my vows! I'm simply not going to let it ever happen to me again! No way! No How!

Sure, as a professional writer and editor, you have to commit yourself full-heartedly and completely to the continuing success and ever increasing expansion of the various empires that you guide, represent and serve, as a trusted confidant and marketing manager, but never again, will I let mere "Business," get in the way of really "EXPERIENCING" the Holidays, and all that they are truly meant to be about!

If I seem to be carrying a chip, the size of Alaska, on my shoulder at the moment, or appear to be just a little bit over zealous about this point, well, you may be right. You see, last year, between all of the exciting and wondrous work that I was contracted to do at my beloved http://www.WriteForMe.com, along with the website design business that I participate in, with my illustrious "Techno-Guru," Perry S. Schjolin, over at what is now http://www.MediaServant.net, soon to be magically transformed back into http://www.WebServant.net, I just plumb (sugar-plumb, I suppose!) got too caught up in all the craziness of the jobs, and completely missed out on all of the Holiday Spirit! That is really pathetically sad!

Now I've never been one to be a "Scrooge" and blast out caustically, in antagonizing fashion, "Bah Humbug" to every passer-by. I've always been more of the "Bob Cratchett" type, trying to spread cheer and the true appreciation for the Holiday Season throughout this sensory over-loaded, busy and hurting world in which now we live. So it's all that more amazingly disturbing to me, that "I" of all people, would let the Holidays just slip right through my fingers, like mere sand on a cold and windy night. But I did!!!

So this year, I'm way ahead of myself. I've already got out my trusty calendar, and am scheduling a good, wholesome block of time-off, to be thankful and contemplative, to be peaceful, at rest and most importantly, simply "AVAILABLE" to my family, who needs me, (who knew!) perhaps even more than my clients do.

Take the time to "Take The Time" this year! There will be plenty of long, arduous, hours, to burn the candle at both ends later on, but as the Holidays approach, draw a line in the sand of your "Task-Master's" hourglass, and declare with a raised, clenched fist and a mighty shout, "Thus far, and No Further!"

Stop and smell the cinnamon! Share your heart gladly with those whom you truly love, and with those who truly love YOU, not for what they can get out of you at a "Preferred Client Discount," but just because you're YOU!

One never knows who will not be around to spend the Holidays with you next year, or if, in fact, it might even be YOU, who is sadly missing forever from the Holiday celebrations, so make the most of it, while you've got it here in your grasp, and just don't let go so easily, and certainly don't push it away or keep it at bay!

Be sure that you give everyone that you care for, a big smile, a warm hug, a pleasant greeting, a cheerful word and the one thing that means so very much to our loved ones and friends, your undivided attention! Yep, your "TIME!"

Happy Holidays to you, One and All!

Love,

Larry xxoo 😉
