I wish I could tell you that Healthy Wealthy nWise came about as a grand, sudden, and magical revelation.

The start of it wasn't quite so romantic.

Instead, it was a growing realization that in this world of specialists and market niches, something was missing. There wasn't one place someone could go to get the full picture. Someplace people could realize how wealth building was truly related and compatible to healthy living, which includes a spiritual aspect.

You tell me, do you want to die really broke but really healthy?

Or how about having real peace of mind, a healthy bankbook and then abusing your body so much you don't live long enough to enjoy it?

One component cannot succeed without the others. People can't succeed without balance.

Lots of places tell you how to make money, or how to be healthier, etc. Too many of these, however, feel a little “off” to me because they ignore the fact that they are preaching about only one aspect of your life.

We had originally been working with another magazine (that was primarily print), which helped get the message out to people regarding fantastic resources and mentors that were out there. The feeling we had was that giving people the opportunity to learn from mentors such as Mark Victor Hansen, Brian Tracy, Harv Eker and literally thousands of other speakers, authors and mentors was a very powerful thing.

Lives could be changed by what could be learned through a magazine.

We were helping that process. Things weren't all rosy, though, and we decided to split off to start our own publication.

Hence, Healthy Wealthy nWise was born of a slow evolutionary process while we discovered in ourselves what we wanted out of a magazine.

You see, in many ways, what we are giving to others is simply what we wanted for ourselves: a great place to learn and grow in ALL aspects of our life - a magazine that spreads the beliefs of success and abundance, but in a proper balance of health, wealth and spirituality.

I'll be very upfront and say that while we are very aware of the business aspects, and the money making potential of an online magazine of this nature is attractive, what drives us is more the intangibles.

There was an unforgettable moment for me, personally, when I talked with a woman regarding some medical technology that was "forgotten," but with the birth of the Internet was being dug up, refined and shared. Something that was a little less than what many would call "mainstream." I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say that the woman was a paraplegic and this treatment was actually increasing her physical abilities to move again.

This blew me away.

I still haven't gotten her to write me an article yet, but I thought to myself "this information could literally change people's lives." That's what I wanted to be a part of.

Now, too often, I have to be hit over the head with things to "get" them - just ask Liz <g>.

Too many things that subtly change our lives for the better, I accept and use, but then dismiss as trivial.

Since we started publishing Healthy Wealthy nWise, however, I have picked up so many of these “little things” that increase the quality of my life, whether it be wealth building, spiritual, mental, etc., it's become very clear to me that there are tons more ways to help people that are not quite as dramatic as getting a paraplegic to be able to have more freedom of movement.

Every issue is just as exciting and powerful as the previous one for me. In many ways, this magazine has been a journey of discovery and self-improvement for Liz and me, and we are just inviting a few hundred thousand of our closest friends along for the ride!

I won't go into the testimonials, or even private email conversations that I've received and been a part of, but there is definitely the feeling that I'm helping people improve their lives in many ways. That's something that is priceless to me, and apart from even the great people we're meeting, the incredible knowledge and networks, along with all of the really cool stuff that we're accessing for our readers. When an email comes in, even if it's a simple thank you, it's hard not to be touched when no matter what else happens, you know you're doing a good thing.

Sincerely,

Ric Thompson
